Why We Recommend Pre and Post Care Products?

In the previous blog posts, My Tattoo Removal Brisbane have mentioned several products to make the most of your tattoo removal treatment. We highly recommend the use of these products to allow you the most comfortable treatment and speedy recovery.

Pre-care recommendations are:

Numbing Cream – this will allow for a more comfortable removal treatment.

Post-Care recommendations are:

Medipulv Powder – this medicated powder will protect the area while allowing the area to be kept clean and dry. This will encourage the scabbing and blistering.

All of these products are readily available at My Tattoo Removal Brisbane.

If you have any questions about these products, or in relation to the treatment, please feel free to ask your clinician.

What to Expect During Your Treatment - Pain?

Some clients feel discomfort during treatment. Exposure is limited to an extremely short pulse. Client’s report the treatment feels like rubber band snaps through to a more intense burn sensation.

This discomfort may range from mild to high and does not last long. As mentioned in the previous post, My Tattoo Removal Brisbane recommends the use of a numbing agent to dull the intensity of the treatment. This needs to be applied 20 minutes prior to the removal treatment.

A mild burning sensation may last for up to a couple of hours for Tattoo Removal treatments. A cold compress or ice pack may be used immediately for instant relief.

Your feedback during the treatment is important.

What to Expect after the treatment Swelling, Bruising & Fragile Skin?

Swelling may sometimes occur immediately after treatment. This is temporary and not harmful. Cold packs will reduce the swelling.

Bruising is unlikely to occur. If bruising occurs it will normally clear up in 1-10 days, depending on your skin type.

The skin that has been treated should be cared for gently for a few days. It should not be rubbed. After a shower or when applying makeup, pat the treated area gently. Makeup can be applied immediately after treatment as long as the skin is not broken.

If you are unsure about how your tattoo is after the treatment, or you have any questions at all, please email or call My Tattoo Removal Brisbane.

What should I expect when I get my tattoo removed?

Scarring is very rare and it is important to follow all the post treatment instructions carefully in order to prevent scarring that comes only with infection.

DO NOT PICK at any scabs – no matter what.

This will reduce your likelihood of scarring.

What to Expect After the Treatment Pigmentation Changes?

The treated areas will probably heal without any pigment changes; however, there is always a slight chance that hyper-pigmentation (darker) or hypo-pigmentation (lighter) areas may occur.

These are generally temporary and will fade within 1-6 months. Sun exposure must be avoided preferably three to four weeks prior to treatment and at least 2 months after, as exposure to the sun may intensify hyper-pigmentation.

It is rare that a change is ever permanent.

If you have any questions regarding your tattoo removal at My Tattoo Removal Brisbane, please feel free to email or call the clinic.

What to Expect After the Treatment Healing?

We want to encourage a crust (scab) or a blister. This will allow for the loss of more ink through the crusting. This is superficial and rarely results in any scarring. It needs to be treated like sunburn or any other sunburn blister/wound. The skin is fragile so care needs to be taken around the area.

Keep the area clean and dry and apply Medipulv Powder to the treated area as often as possible. This is retailed at the My Tattoo Removal Brisbane after every treatment.

You will need to avoid swimming or excessive perspiration for the first three days after the treatment.

How Long Should I Leave Between Treatments?

Once you have decided to remove your tattoo with My Tattoo Removal Brisbane, you really want it gone as soon as possible. Unfortunately, you do have to leave the tattoo to heal after each session.

Both black and colour tattoos need at least 6 weeks between sessions.

The reason for this is the skin is fragile in this time, and we need our body to complete the processing of the toxins from the previous removal session. You would not benefit from having the sessions any closer together.

Do you have a question that My Tattoo Removal Brisbane hasn’t answered here? Please feel free to call or email the clinic.

Preparation For Your Tattoo Removal?

If you have not had a tattoo removal done before, it can be a nervous time for you. If you have an idea of what to expect, you can reduce the anxiety around the process.

Most people would benefit from using a numbing agent to dull the intensity of the treatment. If you apply the numbing agent at least 20 minutes before your scheduled appointment, you will achieve the desired effect in time for your treatment. Although you will still feel the removal process, the intensity of the sensation is dulled.

If you apply some glad wrap to the area that you have applied the numbing agent to, it will help keep your clothes clean while you are in transit.

There is no need to do anything else to the tattoo to prepare for your session. We take care of everything else.

One of the most well-known skin treatments that are available today is through laser. With the innovation in technology, this kind of treatment has been known to be effective and safe. That is why a lot of people who want to remove their tattoo now have easy access to this procedure.

With the developments in laser technology, having tattoos are not essentially a commitment that you need to endure forever. Most tattoos can be eliminated or have their façade considerably lessened using laser treatment. One thing to think about is when the tattoo was made. Tattoos that were done over ten years ago utilized ink that was a lot stronger. This means that the tattoo will take longer to eliminate.

In spite of when the tattoo is made, there are some hues that are much simpler to eliminate compared with others. The laser beams sharpen in distinction. Thus the darker color your tattoo is, the easier it can be eliminated. Yellow and red colors are harder to eliminate and may need more sessions compared with other colors.

Once healing has started, you can apply vitamin E cream to the area to assist healing. Once the area is healed, you can book in your next removal session.
